Wheelchair Users

Southern Star can be stopped or slowed to allow the safe boarding and disembarkation of wheelchair users and guests with walking difficulties. Our Star Crew will be on hand if you require this service. Please note that we are unable to physically lift guests into and out of Southern Star’s cabins.

If you require assistance to board a cabin, you are advised to bring a carer with you. Your carers ticket will be provided free of charge with a valid carers pass which will need to be presented at Southern Star – Ticket Office prior to boarding. If you require wheelchair access we suggest you pre-book a wheelchair place before visiting. Due to safety requirements, wheelchair numbers are restricted.  Occupants of motorised wheel chairs must transfer to a provided wheel chair to be able to ride on the Southern Star. A maximum of “6 Wheelchairs” at any one time is allowable with a maximum of “Two Wheelchairs per Cabin”. A capable carer is recommended.

Disabled Drop-off Points
